The RADIANT Virosbandometer provides a visual indication of rate of turn along with a visual indication of yaw using an ultra-bright, daylight-readable color LCD display. Compared to all other turn coordinators, this instrument also provides a digital indication of the degrees per second of the turn.
Any pilot who has ever wanted to add a turn coordinator to the panel of an experimental aircraft has been discouraged by the complexity, weight, reliability and price of traditional electric or vacuum units. This tool solves all these problems by using a gyroscope and a solid-state accelerometer; weighs less than 2 ounces, connects to any aircraft's fuel system, and allows for easy in-flight calibration with the push of a button.
The unit's graphic design looks exactly like existing turn coordinators, so there is no learning curve for the pilot. Also unlike some products, the RADIANT gyro will stabilize even when powered under critical aircraft conditions.
This is Belite's first avionics product that is also compatible with 28V aircraft electrical systems. The internal power regulator has been designed to withstand transient voltages up to 60 volts.
Belite's RADIANT line of tools combines many features in simple, small, lightweight units. The instruments use high-contrast, sunlight-readable color LCD screens that are also compatible with sunglasses.
The diameter of the instrument is for a standard measurement of 2-1/4” -57 mm. drawing approximately 100 milliamps of power from an 8 volt supply.
All instruments are dimmable.
