AN960 flat washers are used under hex nuts to provide a smooth bearing surface, or as shims to obtain the correct grip length for a bolt and nut assembly, and to adjust the position of AN310 and AN320 castle nuts relative to the bolt holes cotter pins in bolts and clevis pins.
Available in regular or thin gauge, these identifiable by the letter "L" in addition to the number after the hyphen e.g. AN960C-416L is a light series cadmium plated stainless steel washer for 1/4" diameter bolts.
